Rules of changing from one to many(-es, -ies, -ves)

Learning objective : Students will learn all the rules of

changing from singular to plural(adding 'es', 'ies', 'ves').

Explanation:

 Add an ‘s’ to make plural of most words.

Example- book – books

 Words that have “y” at the end with a vowel before it and

words that have “o” at the end with a vowel before it, an “s”

will be added to make it plural.

Example- boy= boys

radio= radios

 Words that end with a consonants’ + y, “ies” will be added in the

place of “y” to make the word plural.

Example- story= stories
