 Going to school is an extremely important

part of a child’s life. In the 19th century,
p a r t o f a c h i l d ’ s l i f e . I n t he 1 9 t h c e nt u r y ,
many new ideas about education and

learning emerged.
 Schools became more common and

communities that had never learnt reading
and writing started sending their children to

school. But there was a lot of opposition to

educating girls.
