               Magic with Shapes

               LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To identify and name the basic shapes. Say at least
               one defining characteristic about the shape. Name few objects related to it.




               DISCUSSION-

                     Name different shapes

                     Identify the characteristics of different shapes


                     Ex – circle, square, rectangle, triangle

                     Name some objects related to these shapes

                     Magic with shapes:


                     Ex-fold a circle cut-out to get semi-circle, fold a rectangle to get circle.

                      Activity- Draw your favourite thing using all the shapes.



               REVISION QUESTIONS (Oral)- Children will be asked questions to identify

               the shape and its characteristics.

                   1.  If you fold a chapatti in to half, which shape will come out?

                   2.  If you fold a handkerchief into half, which shape will you get?
