CPCT:
CPCT stands for Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles an abbreviated version
of the definition of congruent triangles.
If triangles ABC and DEF are congruent, that is,
A D( A corresponds to D)
B E ( B corresponds to E)
C F ( C corresponds to F)
If the triangles are superimposed then
AB coincides with DE, BC with EF and AC with DF
Criteria for Congruence of Triangles
Axiom 7.1: SAS (Side-Angle-Side) Congruence rule
If the two sides and the including angle of one triangle are equal to two sides and the
including angle of another triangle then the triangles are congruent.
Theorem: 7.1 ASA (Angle-Side-Angle) Congruence rule
Two triangles are congruent if two angles and the including side of one triangle are
equal to two angles and the including side of another triangle.
