To find the solution of the given equation,

                Let’s take x = 0, then

               2(0) + y = 7
               y = 7

               Hence, one solution is (0, 7).

               To find another solution we can take y = 0, then

               2x + 0 = 7

               x = 3.5
               So, another solution is (3.5, 0).

               Example:

               Find four solutions for the equation: x + 2y = 6.

               Ans-:x + 2y = 6
                 x = 6 – 2y

               If x=0, then y=3

               If x=1, then y=2.5

               If x=2, then y=2

               If x=6, then y=0

               Therefore, (0,3),(1,2.5),(2,2),(6,0) are four solution of the equation x + 2y = 6.
               Example-

               Find the value of k, if x=2,y=1 is a solution of the equation 2x+3y=k

               Solution-

                2x+3y=k

               So 2(2)+3(1)=k
               So, k=7

               Important notes

               Note that an easy way of getting a solution is to take x=0 and get the corresponding
               value of y. Similarly, we put y=0 and obtain the corresponding value of x.

               Verification of a solution for an equation:
                                                              2
