Types of polynomials on the basis of degree

The highest value of the power of the variable in the polynomial is the degree of the
               polynomial.

                  I. Linear Polynomial- (having degree one)

Standard form- ax + b where a is not equal to zero.

                                                Ex- 2x-3

II. Quadratic Polynomial- (having degree two)
                                              2
Standard form: ax + bx + c where a is not equal to zero.
                                                 2
                                                      Ex- 5x +7x + 9

III. Cubic Polynomial- (having degree three)
                                           3
                                                2
Standard form- ax +bx +cx + d where a is not equal to zero.
                                                 2
                                            3
                                             Ex- 5x +7x +3x +1
IV Biquadratic Polynomial- (having degree four)
                                                     2
                                               3
                                          4
                       Standard form-ax +bx + cx + +dx +e where a is not equal to zero.
                                            3
                                        4
                                                  2
                                         Ex- 9x +6x + 3x + +8x +5

               Constant Polynomial:
Each real number other than zero is a constant polynomial.
