Membrane biogenesis- Itis the process which involves the synthesis of cell
membrane with the help of proteins and lipids synthesised by Smooth
Endoplasmic Reticulum.
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum:
Covered with ribosomes giving the endoplasmic reticulum its rough
appearance.
Responsible for protein synthesis and plays a role in membrane production.
