 There is also the issue of inordinate long number of years that courts take to hear

a case. Justice delayed is justice denied. However it cannot be denied that the

Judiciary has played an important role in democratic India to check the powers of
the Legislature and the Executive and protect the Fundamental Rights of the

citizens.
