 Bakelite is a poor conductor of heat and electricity and, does not become soft on getting
heated. So, it is used in making the handles of various cooking utensils, electrical switches,
               plugs and sockets, etc.

 Melamine:It is a plastic that can sustain heat better than other plastics and resists it.

 It is used for making of floor tiles, kitchenware, ashtrays and microwave cookware.
 As melamine is a fire-resisting thermosetting plastic, it is used as a coating over the
               uniforms of fire-men.

 Teflon: It is a special thermosetting plastic on which oil and water do not stick, due to its
               slippery surface.
 Teflon can withstand high temperatures. So, it is used for giving non-stick coating on
               cookware (frying pans).
