Chloroplast:Contains green-coloured pigments called chlorophyll.It helps in
photosynthesis.
Chromoplast: Contains coloured pigments other than green. The colouration of
flowers and fruits is due to presence of chromoplast. So, it plays an important
role in pollination.
Leucoplast: Colourless plastids present mainly in underground parts of plants
and helps in storage of food.
Vacuoles are blank looking structures found in cytoplasm. In plant cells, single and
large vacuole are found in central position. They occupy upto90% space of cell and
push the nucleus to periphery of cell. In animal cells, vacuoles may be absent or
there may be large number of smaller-sizedvacuoles.Vacuoles store water, proteins,
carbohydrates, waste products, etc.
