               Q.1- A one-act play has a single act. It concentrates on a single episode
               or situation and usually has only two or three characters. Such a play is
               usually short, with a playing time of fifteen to forty minutes. Anton

               Chekhov’s A Marriage Proposal (1890) and Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s
               Last Tape (1958) are one-act plays.



               Select a one -act play and enact it in the class.



               Remember these tips to present a good show.


                   •  Be in your character.
                   •  Rehearse your lines many times.
                   •  Speak your lines out to yourself and keep working on your
                       dialogue delivery to instill accurate emotions in your performance.

                   •  If you fumble ,don’t get embarrassed.
                   •  Keep breathing as you deliver your lines. Else, there are more
                       chances of your voice getting cracked.
                   •  Enjoy your performance. It’s only a play !
