Line                       A line is obtained when
                                           a line segment like AB is
                                           extended on both sides
                                           indefinitely.

                                          It is denoted by       or
                                           sometimes by a single
                                           small letter like l.
                                          It has no fixed length.
               Ray                        A ray is a portion of line
                                           that starts from a point
                                           and extends indefinitely
                                           in one direction.
                                          It has one end point.
                                          It can be extended in
                                           one direction only.
                                          It is denoted as







               Parallel lines       Two lines in a plane are said to
                                    be parallel if they do not meet.









               Intersecting         Two distinct lines meeting at a
               lines                point are called intersecting
                                    lines.






               Angles                     The corners made by
                                           the intersection of two
                                           lines or line segments
                                           are called Angles.
                                          We write angle as ∠ABC
                                           in first figure
                                          ∠XOY, ∠ZOW, ∠YOW
                                           and ∠XOZ are angles in
