               2y= - (5/2)+ (37/2)

               2y= 32/2


               2y= 16

               7m= (26-19)/2


               7m=7/2  ,    m=1/2

               2. Solve the following equations:

               (a) 2(x + 4) = 12   or, 2x+8=12  ,    2x= 4,   x=2


               (b) 3(n – 5) = 21  clue: 3n-15=21,  3n= 21+15---- do it

               3. Solve the following equations

               (a) 16 = 4 + 3(t + 2)    or,16-4= 3t+6    or,12-6= 3t     , 3t= 6,  t= 2


               (b) 0 = 16 + 4(m – 6)    or, -16= 4m-24,   or, 8=4m,   m= 2

               4. Construct 3 equations starting with x = 2.     A) 5x= 10   b)   x/2=1    c) x+9= 11
