Solution
As you can see that the maximum average temperature is in the month of June.
Its mode will be 27 as it occurs more frequently i.e. three times.
Example: Find the mode of 13, 16, 12,14,19,12,14,13,14
Solution:
Mode = 14, as it is repeated 3 times.
Median:
The middle value of the given number of the observations which divides it into exactly
two parts is called Median.
To find the median, we have to arrange the data in ascending or descending order then
find the middle value of the given number of observations that is the median of that
group.
a. If the number of observation is odd, then median can be found out by using the
formula + th term. Where n is number of observation.
For example:
Find the median of 13, 16, and 12,14,19,12,14,13,14
Solution:
After arranging the data in ascending order we get,
12, 12, 13,13,14,14,14,16,19
th
Median = + th term = + th term = =5 term, i.e. median is 14
b. If the number of observation is even, then median can be found out by using the
formula +
