Pharynx
It is the region after the nasal cavity which acts as passageway for air that leads
into the trachea.
Larynx
It is also called voice-box.
It contains vocal cords that vibrate when air passes through them.
Trachea
It is also called windpipe
It is a tube like–structure which is guarded by an opening called glottis, which
gets covered by the epiglottis when we eat or drink.
The trachea extends further and splits into two bronchi (singular:Bronchus),one
for each lung.
Bronchioles
Each bronchus further divides into tiny branches called bronchioles.
Bronchioles terminate into tiny air sacs called alveoli.
Alveoli (Singular-alveolus)
It gives the appearance of a bunch of grapes.
