 When sun heats up the air above the sea, the water vapour rises up and reaches cooler
                regions.
 Then, the water vapour releases heat and condenses.
 The released heat increases the temperature of the surrounding air.
 Getting condensed, the water vapour forms rain drops.
 These rain drops collectively form thunder clouds.
 When surrounding warm air rises up, a low pressure area is created inside the ocean.
 The air rushes in, moves in circles because of the spinning of the earth.
 Thus, cyclone develops where a low pressure region in the centre is surrounded by high
                speed swirling winds.

Cyclonic Storms weakened after reaching land due to :
                   1. Friction with land
                   2. Shortage of moisture.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN DURING CYCLONE:
              a) Stay indoors, preferably on the ground floor or a basement.
              b) Keep an emergency medical kit at home.
              c) Store enough food materials and drinking water in waterproof bags or covered containers.
              d) Stay away from open doors and windows.
              e) Keep extra battery operated torchlight.
              f) Keep emergency phone numbers of hospitals, police, relatives and friends.
              g) Do not take shelter under trees because they may get uprooted due to strong winds.

              NOTE:
Impact of cyclones reduces, if there are thick forests near coastal areas.
