Prefixes are added to the beginning of an existing word to create a new word with a different
meaning. For example:

Suffixes
A suffix is a group of letters placed after the root of a word. For example, the word flavourless
consists of the root word “flavour” combined with the suffix “-less” *which means “without”+;
the word “flavourless” means “having no flavour.”
