Topic: DIARY ENTRY
Objective:
Diary is a kind of personal document. It records an individual’s account of a day of his/her life.
Diary Entry: An Introduction
Maintaining a diary is generally a very good habit. One can always check facts looking back,
remember events, find an outlet and effectively document one’s life this way. Some people even
name their diaries and address them like an imaginary friend.
A personal journal it’s a private possession.
Diary Entry: What to Expect?
A Diary is a journal organized by date where we express our thoughts, feelings, opinions, and plans.
We can be as candid as possible. This journal is our safe place.
Format (To be noted in CW Notebook)
Top left- Date, day and time.
Tense Most frequently used- Simple past, Present perfect and future.
First person application.
Steps
Begin the entry with general sentence describing the day or momentary feelings.
In the body, you may discuss an event, your feelings towards it. How it is likely to affect your
future plans.
Conclude with final remark and future course of action.
