 Western Desert or The Great Indian Desert or The

Thar desert is a large dry region .

 It is located in the north west part of India .

 It covers about 70% of Rajasthan, the desert state

of India.

 It also touches the southern part of Haryana and

Punjab and northern part of Gujarat.

 It extends to the western part of Pakistan also.
