 To multiply a given number

by 10: Multiply the non-

zero given number by 1 and

insert one ‘0’ on the right

side of the product.

 Example: 1 305 x 10

Step 1: Multiply 305 x 1=305

Step 2: Now, insert one ‘0’

at the right side of the

product.

Step 3: Hence, the product

is 3050.
