2.FIXED AQUATIC PLANTS

 These plants grow in small water bodies like

ponds and lakes.

 The roots of such plants are fixed to the

bottom of the pond.

 They have light hollow stem that supports the

leaves and flowers.

 The leaves are broad and flat to get enough Lotus

air and sunlight.

 Stomata are present on the upper surface of

the leaf.

 Waxy coating on leaf surface helps them to

repel water and prevents from rotting.
