• Edgar Albert Guest was born in
Birmingham, England in 1881 Britain,
but he grew up and spent most of his
life in United States of America.
•He was popularly known as the
‘People’s Poet’.
• He worked as a newspaperman most
of his adult life and was known to have
published a new poem everyday for
over 30 years.
• He is also the only poet to have been
awarded the title of Poet Laureate of
Michigan.
