to describe the person, animal, place
or thing is called as an Adjective.
•Adjectives are generally placed
before the nouns, but in some
sentences, they are placed after the verb.
Example: It is a pretty frock.
The frock is pretty.
In both the sentences, the word ‘pretty’ is
describing the noun ‘frock’.
