CONTINENTS

• The large landmasses on the surface of the Earth are

called as continents .

• A continent is a very large area of land, such as Africa

or Asia, that is further divided into smaller parts

called countries.

• There are seven continents in the world.

• Asia, Africa, North America, South America,

Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.

• Asia is the largest continent while Australia being the

smallest continent.
