Multiplication of 2digit number by a 2-digit number(without regrouping)

Learning Objectives- Students will learn to multiply 2 and 3-digit number by a 2digit number
               without regrouping.

               Example 1:Multiply 31 by 12

Step 1: Multiply the number by the ones digit, that is, 2.

                                     31 × 2 ones = 62 ones = 6 tens + 2 ones.

Write 62 in the first row.

Step 2: Multiply the number by the tens digit, that is 10.

                                     31 × 1 tens = 31 tens= 310.
                                                                                         H T O
Write 310 in the second row.

Step 3: Add row 1 and row 2.
                                                                                              3 1
                                        62 + 310 = 372.
                                                                                                  × 1 2
               Thus, 31 × 12 = 372.
                                                                                                        6 2
Learning outcome- Students are able to learn how to multiply 2-
                                                                                        + 3 1 0
digit number by a 2-digit number with regrouping.
                                                                                        = 3 7 2
