Mr. Gupta bought a grinder mixer set of ₹ 3485, a quilt for ₹
2783 and a bag for ₹ 847. How much money he has to pay in
all?
When there is a word problem based on money, then we start the
statement like _ “Amount of money….” or “Cost of….”

Cost of a grinder mixer = ₹3485

Cost of a quilt = ₹2783
+ 2 7 8 3
Cost of bag = ₹847
+ 8 4 7
Total cost of all the items= ₹3485+₹2783+₹847 = 7 1 1 5
= ₹7115
Thus, Mr. Gupta has to pay ₹7115 in all.
