Addition of litres and millilitres
We make two columns for litres and millilitres and add them
separately.
Example-1 Add 8 l 430 ml and 1 l 215 ml

Step-1 First add the ml column
8 4 3 0 0 + 5 = 5
3 + 1 = 4
+ 1 2 1 5
4 + 2 = 6
= 9 6 4 5 Step-2 Then add the l column
8 + 1 = 9
Thus, 8 l 430 ml + 1 l 215 ml = 9 l 645 ml
