Conversion of capacity

Learning Objective– Students will be able to learn about conversion of capacity.

               Explanation

               We have already learnt: 1 l = 1000 ml

               Conversions:litres into millilitres

                   A) To convert litres into millilitres, we multiply the given number of litres by 1000.

               Example1: Convert 5l into ml
               5l = 5 x 1000ml
                   = 5000ml

                   B) To convert litres into millilitres, we multiply the given number of litres by 1000 and
then add the ml to it.

Example 2: Convert 4l85ml into ml

               4l 85ml = 4 x 1000ml + 85ml
                           = 4000ml + 85ml
                           = 4085ml

               Conversions:Millilitres into Litres

Example: Convert 3785 ml into l and ml

                3785 ml = 3000 ml + 785 ml

                                 = 3 l + 785 ml

                                 = 3 l 785 ml
Learning Outcome– Students are able to learn about conversion of capacity
