Addition of weights
The addition is done in the same way as numbers.
We make two separate columns for kg and g for
addition.
Examples: a) Add 5 kg 90 g and 2 kg 689
kg g Step-1 Add the grams
5 0 9 0 column first
+ 2 6 8 9 Step-2 Then add the kg
column
= 7 7 7 9
Thus, 5 kg 90 g + 2 kg 689 = 7 kg 779 g
