Word problems of lengths

Learning Objective – Students will be able to learn about word problems of length.

               Explanation

Example: A shopkeeper had 250m long rope. 190m was sold. What is the length of the rope
               left?
               Solution:

               Length of rope = 250m
               Length of rope sold =190m

               Length of rope left = 250m – 190m = 60m

                                   2 5 0
                                 - 1 9 0
                                 = 0 6 0

Thus, 60 m of rope left with the shopkeeper.
