Learning Objective: Students should understand how living things move and reproduce.
Living Things Move and Reproduce
All living things can move from one place to another on their own. They move in search of
food, to find shelter, or to run away from their enemies. Living things like humans, animals,
birds, insects etc show movement from one place to another using different parts of their
body. But non-living things do not move on their own.
All living things produce young ones of their own kind. This process is known as
reproduction. Some animals like cow, dog, cat even humans give birth to their young ones.
Birds and some animals like fish lay eggs. Plants produce new plants from their seeds. Seeds
have baby plants inside them.
