Learning objective: Students will develop safety rules to prevent common accidents in
school.
SAFETY AT SCHOOL AND PLAYGROUND
It is very important to cultivate safety habits at school. We should take care of our safety
and also the safety of others around us when at school. Violating safety rules may lead to
serious injuries and accidents.
Some of the safety rules to be followed at school are
• Walk; do not run in the hall, stairways or ramps.
• Do not push or pull each other while walking.
• Always walk in a queue and stick to your left.
• Keep your school and classroom clean.
Some of the safety rules to be followed in the playground are
• Follow the rules of the game properly while playing any game.
• Wait for your turn.
• Do not play on wet ground.
• Don’t rush or run while leaving the playground.
Learning outcome: Students became familiar with accidents that can happen at school and
its prevention.
