Learning objectives: Students will be able to know about the different uses of air and water.

               Uses of Air and Water

               Uses of Air

                   • Humans and animals need oxygen present in air for breathing.
                   • Mountaineers take oxygen cylinders with them for breathing, because the air
becomes thin when we go higher.
                   • Plants need sunlight, water, chlorophyll in leaves and carbon dioxide present in air to
prepare their food. This process is called photosynthesis. At night they only breathe
                       in oxygen.

               Uses of Water

                   • Human and animals need water for drinking and bathing.
                   • Plants use water for photosynthesis.
                   • We use water for cleaning, cooking and gardening.
                   • Water is used in factories.

Learning outcome: Students learned about the importance of air and water in our life.
