Let’s do an activity to see how light travels in a

straight path.

• We will take a curved tube. We will

point one end at a lighted candle.

Then will look through the other end.

• What do you think you will be able to

see the light from the other end?

• No, you won’t be able to see any

light at the other end of the tube. It is

because light travels in a straight

line.
