P. 2
Learning objective- Students will be able to use future tense appropriately in
writing as well as communication.
Future Tense
The future tense is a verb tense used for a future activity or a future state of being. For
example:
I will jump in the lake.
(This is a future activity.)
I will be happy.
(This is a future state of being.)
The tense of a verb is determined by when the action took place. The simple future
tense is used for an action that will occur in the future.
We usually use “will be” to talk about the future.
Such as – I will be going to school tomorrow.
I will be having lunch with my bestfriend next week.
I will be asleep at midnight.
Learning outcome- The students are able to now use future tense effectively in
both writing and speech.
