We use apostrophe and an s (’s) after the singular
                                                                   nouns to make the possessive form.

                                                             To make the possessive form when there are 2
                                                              names linked by “and”, we put an ’s after the
                                                                             second name only.

                                                                  This is Raju and Navneet’s cricket bat.

                                The possessive
                                form of a noun             Sometimes we have two possessive forms with ’s

          POSSESSIVE


              NOUN                                           We use apostrophe and an s (’s) after the plural

                                                                       nouns that do not end in an s.
                                                                The children’s rooms are always colourful.



                                                          We just put an apostrophe after plural nouns that
                                                                                end in s (s’)
                                                                The pupils’ desks are arranged in rows..



                                                             With proper nouns that end in s, we make the
                                                                       possessive form in two ways.
                                                               This is James’s house./This is James’ house.
