ABSTRACT NOUNS
Learning Objective: Children will learn about some words which cant be seen and
touched but still they are called nouns.
You know a noun is a person, place, animal or thing. Many of these nouns are physical, and
can be experienced by your five senses. These are called Concrete Nouns. For example-cake,
apple, table, book etc.
Some nouns however cannot be experienced physically. These things can’t be seen, touched,
smelled, heard or tasted. For example- love and faith. These are called Abstract Nouns.
Abstract nouns are something that cannot be touched and they do not have any physical
appearance. They are ideas and feelings.
Dogs are very loyal to their human friends.
We share a lot of love within our family.
The young girl had a childhood that was full of love and happiness.
Learning Outcome: Children learnt about abstract and concrete noun.
