SINGULAR AND PLURAL NOUNS

1. Most singular nouns need “s” at the end to become plural.

2. Singular nouns ending in ‘s’, ‘ss’,’sh’, ‘ch’, ‘x’ need an “es” at the end to become plural.

3. Singular nouns ending with ‘y’ form their plural by dropping the ‘y’ and taking ‘ies’.

4. When singular nouns end with ‘f’ or ‘fe’, the plural is formed by dropping the ’f’ or ‘fe’ and

adding “ves”.
