LP 3 – Relation between addition and subtraction
Learning objective: The students will be able to understand the
relation between addition and subtraction and apply in problem
sums.
An inverse operation is an operation that reverses the effect
of the original operation. Addition and subtraction are
inverse operations. Both are opposites of each other.
For example: 6 + 2 = 8
By inversing the operation, we can write either
8 – 6 = 2 or 8 – 2 = 6.
Learning outcome: The students were able to understand the
relation between addition and subtraction and apply in problem
sums.
