LP-1: Addition - regrouping Tens and Ones.
Learning objective: Students will be able to add 2 digit numbers by drawing
representations of tens and ones with regrouping.
To regroup means to rearrange groups in place value to carry out an
operation.
Children are introduced to the concept of regrouping by using tens and
ones blocks to show how to regroup 10 ones as 1 ten. This helps to
understand children for regrouping tens when adding two-digit number.
Example: - Regroup 3 tens and 15 ones.
Answer: 4 Tens and 5 Ones
Learning outcome- Students were able to add 2 digit numbers by drawing
blocks of Tens and Ones with regrouping.
