 Definition: Adding on a number line is like counting forwards.

 First jump to the first number from zero and then count forward for the

next number.

 Example: Add 3 and 1 by using number line.

Learning outcome: The students were able to perform addition using number

line.

Lesson-3: Addition without carryover.

Learning objective: The students will be able to add 2-digit and 3-digit
numbers without carryover.

ADDITION: Addition is taking two or more numbers and adding them
together, that is, it is the total sum of 2 or more numbers.

EXAMPLE: Add 266 with 211

SOLUTION:

Step-1: Arrange the digits in the column according to their place values.
(266+211=)

Step-2: Now, start adding from the Ones place. (6 + 1 = 7 Ones)

Step-3: Then add the Tens place. (6 + 1 = 7 Tens)

Step-4: Finally end with adding the Hundreds place. (2 + 2 = 4 Hundreds)
