           Lesson Plan 3 – Odd and even numbers


             Learning objective: Students will be able to classify collections in terms of odd
                                                         and even.


           •  Odd number:
                An odd number is a number that cannot be divided into two equal groups.
                Odd numbers end in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 regardless of how many digits they have.

           Example: - 59, 657, 723, 341 and so on.

           •  Even numbers :
                An even number is a number that can be divided into two equal groups.
                Even numbers end in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 0 regardless of how many digits they have.
           Example: - 88 , 360 , 462 , 504 , and so on.
