Line Plot:
Learning objective: Students will be able to represent information in a line
plot and interpret it.
• A line plot uses X instead of pictures or square blocks to represent
collected information.
• We make a line plot using a line and X.
• Line plots are simple and used to collect and organize information
quickly.
• A line plot is often confused with a line graph. A line plot is different
from a line graph.
Example: Following are the favourite flavours ice-cream of some
children, the information is represented through line plot. Here X is
the number of children.
