Line Plot:

Learning objective: Students will be able to represent information in a line
               plot and interpret it.

                   • A line plot uses X instead of pictures or square blocks to represent
                      collected information.

                   • We make a line plot using a line and X.
                   • Line plots are simple and used to collect and organize information
                       quickly.

                   • A line plot is often confused with a line graph. A line plot is different
                       from a line graph.

Example: Following are the favourite flavours ice-cream of some

children, the information is represented through line plot. Here X is
                       the number of children.
