Tally Marks:
• Data can be organised by using standing lines and slanting lines called
tally marks.
• Tally marks are a way to mark or record your general counting. The way
of writing tally marks is four lines drawn vertically and the fifth line runs
across the previous four vertical lines.
• Tally marks are used for counting in groups of 5.
Example: Let’s see how the numbers 1 to 10 are represented using tally
marks.
