Currency used in India:
Learning objective: Students will be able to know about the currency of
different denomination used in India.
Money that is used in a country is referred to as currency.
Currencies consist of “Coins” and “Notes”.
Different countries have different currencies.
The currencies used in different Countries are mentioned in the table.
The Indian currency is INR.
Coins- The shapes and size of coins changes from time to time.
Nowadays one paise to twenty paise coins are not in use.
Coins of 50- paise are also not used any more. Coins are made up of
metal with special prints embossed over there.
