Let us learn how to tell time:

Look at the clock shown below. The short hand is at 1 and the long hand is at 12. The time is

1 o’clock. It is also written as 1:00 in a short way. So when the hour hand points exactly at 1,

it’s 1 o’ clock or 1:00. When the long hand or minute hand points to number 12, 60 minutes

have gone by. That’s how long an hour is. We read the minutes on an analog clock by skip

counting in 5s. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60.
