Let us see some examples on units of capacity.

The capacity of the bucket is 4

litres .If the capacity of the mug is

500ml, how many mugs will be

required to fill the bucket ?

Ans : 1 l = 1000 ml

So, 4 l = 1000 X 4 = 4000 ml.

= 4000 ml/500 ml= 8

We need 8 mugs to fill the bucket.
