A small scale shows units of centimetres and millimetres on one

side and inches on the other side. One centimetre has 10 divisions

called millimetres. These are denoted by cm and mm.

1 centimetre(cm) = 10 millimetres(mm)

1 metre(m) = 100 centimetres(cm)

1 kilometre(km) = 1000 metres(m)
