Divide 35 by 4. In other words, we must find out in 4’s table, where 35

comes.

4 X 8 = 32, since 35 is not there in 4’s table so we

We will take number which is less than 35 or equal to 35.

4 × 8= 32, 8 goes to the ones place above.

Subtract 32 from 35. (35 – 32 = 3). We get 3 as Remainder. So 35 ÷ 4 = 18

r= 3

Here 75 is dividend, 4 is divisor, 18 is quotient and 3 is remainder.
