Steps for Long Division without Remainder ( 2 digits by 1 digit

number)

Example- 65 ÷ 5 =?

Step 1: Divide 6 Tens with 5. Is 6 in the table of 5 , if no then see number

which is equal to or less than 6. we get 5. 5 one times is 5 which is less

than 6. so we write 5 under the Tens column below the number 6 and 1

above the bar .Now subtract 5 from 6 ,we get 1.

Step 2: Now see the Ones column. We have 5. bring 5 Ones down. 1 ten

and 5 ones is 15.

Step 3: Now divide 15 with 5. we get 3. as 3 times 5 is 15.
